Photos of Napoleon above taken July 8th, 2007.

Napoleon is our new spotted herd sire. He is a heavy-boned, compact jack with a tiny, short head, heavy jaw and correct legs. He has deep halos around every single one of his spots. He has a lot of interesting colors and donkeys in his background including McLendon's 45 Magnum, a 28.75" dark brown jack. This boy is undoubtably the most laid-back jack we have ever encountered. Thank you to Ed and Linda Trimnell at Windcrest Acres for allowing us to purchase this fine boy! Napoleon's first foal crop arrived in 2007 and they are listed below. Three jennets and two jacks...two spots and two no light points!

Update! Napoleon's first foal has arrived on 6/02/07 @ 2:37am and she is a knockout! A very dark girl with no light points out of Windcrest Little Gidget.

Spec is our up and coming junior herd sire and we have great plans for him. He is out of one of our very best spotted jennets and sired by a tiny sorrel jack. His grand sire is the great 'few spot' white jack, Hartman Donkey's Trenton. We think so much of him that we have several 'Trenton' daughters in our brood jennet band. Spec just has a few spots but they are black and he has several dark spots thoughout his body just on his skin that do not show up unless he is clipped as he appears in the photographs above. Spec is stocky, stout and wide and small with outstanding conformation & a super disposition. We expected Spec to produce some very colorful foals and he has not disappointed us. He has produced six foals as of this date and all are heavy boned with very correct legs and beautiful heads:

8/02/06 Shadow of a DoubtShadow of a Doubt, Black Jack w/tiny star

8/13/06 Temptation Eyes Temptation Eyes, Dark Brown Jennet

9/13/06 Guilty as Cyn Guilty As Cyn, Spotted Jennet

4/21/07 Hung The Moon, Spotted Jennet
Moony is owned by Flight of Fancy Miniatures in New Hampshire.

10/09/07 Spunktacular
Spunktacular, Spotted Jack

12/14/07 Have Faith, Spotted Jennet
Faith was owned by Little Miracles Farm in Tennessee but has been purchased by us for our future breeding program.

We are very excited to see what Primero will produce crossed with our foundation brood jennets. His pedigree is completely full and goes back to the original imports. It is filled with a variety of colors including sorrel but is dominated by darks. Primero is one of the few registered black and white herd sires in the country. He has a very unique spot pattern with deep halos around every spot. Photo of Primero's sire, Primo, compliments of Kim Zellers.
