I had been trying to purchase Lady Slipper from Flight of Fancy Miniatures ever since I first laid eyes on her and fell in love. She is a grand daughter of the well known Jenny Sam of Bell E Acres. Lady Slipper is very tiny and stocky. Somehow we talked Jane out of her along with her 2009 jennet foal, Aphrodite's Pink Nitie. Nitie is a replica of her mom only even nicer. That is a sign of a great brood jennet when they produce as nice or nicer than themselves.

Slippers was vaccinated on 2/21/14 against the following: West Nile, Eastern/Western Encephalomyelitis, Tetanus, Rhino EHV4 & EHV 1, and Influenza Strains A1, A2, Prague 56, Ky '92, Ky '97, Ky 98 & Ky 99. So she is up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile & Botulism which she was also vaccinated for on 2/25/14. She has a negative coggins report dated 3/21/14. Slippers has been DNA typed at the University of Kentucky and all her information is in her records and on file at the University.

Lady Slipper is the dam of the following foals:

1) Flight of Fancy Cardinal RG 8/20/02, light red herd sire in Washington.
2) Flight of Fancy Angelfire, 10/07/03, light red jennet.
3) Flight of Fancy Mach One, 5/19/05, light red jack.

Sweet as honey and twice as nice! This little girl has everyone buzzing at Half Ass Acres including the bees. Glow and Firefly sure knew what they were doing making this little beauty. She is so full of personality that she has the entire farm awaiting her grand entrance to the outside paddock on the first sunny day. You can almost see and hear all the other donkeys talking about the new GIRL on the farm and wondering what all the buzz is about over this new foal. She is going to knock their socks off first day out!

Bee has it all….compact little body, heavy bones, straight legs, perfect bite, heads up attitude, unique cinnamon color, and a tiny little star.

Check back often for updates on Bee. Watch for photos of her as she buzzes around playng with all her new friends on our farm. bzzzzz....bzzzzzz......bzzzzzz

Photos and videos above were taken on September 6th, 2010, with the help of my great friends, Dena Wilson and Maria and Katie Randall!

We will let Bee rest through 2014/2015.

Bee Sting is being offered for sale because we are no longer breeding for reds and we do not have a red jack to cross with her. Bee Sting is up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile and Botulism, de-wormings, and hoof trims. She has a negative coggins report dated 8/29/14. Like all of our donkeys she is friendly and easy to catch and handle. She is selling as open as this is her resting year.

We purchased Puzzles from Itsy Bitsy Burro Co shortly after her birth. Jerry and Tonnie delivered her to us during the 2008 Great Celebration Mule & Donkey Show held July 10th thru 12th. Jerry showed her in the NMDA foal class on Thursday and won 2nd place showing against over 10 other entries.Itsy Bitsy Puzzles, 2008 Reserve ACOSA Champion JennetItsy Bitsy Puzzles, 2008 Reserve ACOSA Champion Jennet The Wilrich's had a dog show that Saturday and had to leave so Joe showed Puzzles in the National ACOSA class and won 2nd in the Two and Under Jennet class and then went on to win Reserve National Champion Spotted Jennet her second time ever in a show ring and the first time shown by Joe. We are so very proud of our new little jennet! It was quite an accomplishment for a six month old baby.

Puzzles 2013 foal has been weaned and we will allow her to rest through 2014/2015. Since this is Puzzle's resting year she is selling as open. She is up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile and Botulism, de-wormings and hoof trims. She has a negative coggins report dated 8/29/14. She is easy to catch and handle. How do we begin…Where do we start?....God has blessed us, yet again, with another gorgeous red jennet from Glow. Every time I look at her I have to say, “Be still my heart”, as I take in all her beauty. Glow is the dam of Little Whiskey Girl, who was 18 ¾" tall at birth (this was before we weighed our foals) and Bee Sting, who was 21½" tall and 23 lbs. at birth, and now Bumbles. What a trio of beautiful red foals Glow has had for us. Of course, let’s don’t forget the contribution made by Firefly with Bumbles and Bee. What a great combination!

Taking pictures of Bumbles was a joy. She already has that show ring stand down pat and the looks to go right in the ring and say, “Look at me”, I’m here to win.” She has a perfect 10 score from us. Bumbles is compact, straight legs, and one of the cutest heads you’ve ever seen. We love her rich, cinnimon red color so much and marvel at the way she holds that head up so high using those gorgeous red ears that look like they are lined with white bunny fur.

Thank you to Dena Wilson for her patience and expert handling of our donkeys during their photo sessions. Without Dena these updated photos would not be possible!

Bumblelena is still on Bumble's side. We will allow Bumbles to rest through 2014/2015.

We were so thrilled to add this wonderful jennet to our brood jennet band. Her dam, Lady Slipper, has been one of my favorite jennets for several years and we were finally able to talk Jane Savage at Flight of Fancy Miniatures into letting us have them both. They are everything we could hope for. The Miniature Donkey Registry notified us that Pink Nitie's name was too long for the new 30 limit rules so her name is now FOF Aphroditie's Pink Nitie.

This jennet is so very small that we waited until she was four years of age to breed her. She was bred to SparksaFire for a foal due April 27th, 2014 foal. This was her first foal.

Pink Nitie is the dam of one foal:

Monet´ is a half sister to our number one favorite jennet, Junebug, so we just had to have her. Monet' is just as beautiful as her sister. She has the same short, wide head and super soft nose. Photos and videos above taken June 1st, 2010. Monet' is too closely related to Bruise and Jealous Much so we have attempted to bred her to Brick for two summers but he was not aggressive enough to get the job done. We are offering Monet as a barren jennet although someone else may have better luck at getting her to settle in foal. She is a beautiful jennet that could be shown if you were unsuccesful. She may be worth taking the chance. I paid a small fortune for this jennet at weaning age but my loss could be your gain. Monet is up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile, de-wormings, hoof trims, etc. She has a negative coggins report dated 2/25/14.

Dolly was bred to National Champion WLDF Tin Roof Sunday and foaled a beautiful brown jennet on 4/21/14 (See photos and videos below).

Dolly is up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile, hoof trims and de-wormings. She has a negative coggins dated 3/20/13, that will be updated soon. She is only offered for sale because Dena's husband, Tim, was injured at work and just had an operation to repair his knee. They have no other source of income and need to cut back on their animal obligations. Dolly is easy to catch and handle and had no foaling problems. She is offered at a great price for a quick sale. You will be acquiring a great brood jennet with her adorable show quality foal.

Dolly is the dam of one foal:

1) Farmstead's Stolen Goods (Goodie), brown jennet, born 4/22/14.

This adorable brown jennet has one of the best personalities of any foal we have had the pleasure of photographing. She simply would not be intimidated into running away from us so we had to be satisfied with her just posing away. She is so photogenic that we had a hard time picking out our favorite shots because their were so many to choose from. She is being offered with her dam so you can take her home now and enjoy her childhood. You can look far and wide before you find a jennet with a personality as pleasing as Goodie's. She has show quality conformation. Her dam was given a booster of all vaccinations so that Goodie is protected until weaning.

Hoopla is one incredible jennet...her bite is perfect, her legs are perfect, her personality is perfect. She has a nice, round rear...she is also the sweetest most agreeable thing. Her shiny dark coat takes your breath away in the summertime. She is sired by Sunset Acres Hoops, a small, stocky true black jack with no visible cross, and she is a granddaughter of Circle C Black Russian. Her pedigree is very long and impressive.

Windcrest Hoopla last summer! Here is a headshot taken of Hoopla as a yearling.....check out those long ears!!! We owned Hoopla long ago as a foal and we wanted her back since we had sold all of our taller jennets when we were not showing. We have regretted that decision since we feel the taller jennets are usually better producers of performance donkeys.

Hoopla is the dam of the following foals:

1) Fleur de Lys Madeleine, 10/02/06, spotted jennet;
2) Fleur de Lys Tessa, 6/01/09, red jennet;
3) HHAA Derby Day, very dark brown jack, 5/03/13.

Click MDR sign for Miniature Donkey Registry Pedigree Howington's pedigree!

I had to have another gelding when my great niece, Emily, took over ownership of my Mookie Man. It was a hard decision but we finally decided on Howington since he previously belonged to me as a weanling and I was familiar with his personality and luckily he was offered for sale. He has a wonderful show record in halter and color with his prior owners. A big 'Thank You!' to Dana Rathbun of Castlewood Farms for allowing us to purchase Howington. They had a great 2011 show season together!

We purchased Howington in September of 2011 and started training him for performance on June 19th of 2012. Howington is now being driven a minimum of six hours per week and usually much more (although we missed nearly two months when I was not allowed to drive by my doctor's orders). It was hard to keep him in halter shape while putting this many hours on him but he was still continuing to always be in the ribbons. Howington is quite a handful because he is a very sensitive soul but I love a challenge and I am hoping he will be competi
ng in performance classes in 2014!

Howington is not going to be quite stout enough to be my next show gelding unless I go on a serious diet or he grows more. He just does not have the get up and go that is required for a performance donkey. Howington has well over 100 hours in harness and pulling a cart but he is only for a very experienced driver. Howington is very nervous under harness and really just wants to be a pet. He is up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile, de-wormings and hoof trims. He has a negative coggins dated 3/21/14.

I have started to sell Howington several times and backed out because I am so attached to him. If you think this donkey might be for you...better grab him up fast before I change my mind again.

Following is a list of Howington's show winnings:

Co-owned by Rocking 615 Ranch and Half Ass Acres. This fantastic gelding is a grand son of Half Ass Acres Harlequin Jack, bred and born here at Half Ass Acres. Showdown won the Two & Under Halter Jacks/Gelding class and stood Reserve Champion Halter Jack/Gelding at the Lincoln County Fair on 9/08/13. Showdown also was 2nd in a very large spotted color class that day.

Showdown finished the show year as the official Reserve Champion Yearling and Reserve Champion Spotted Color donkey of Tennessee. We are only offering Showdown for sale because we now finally have geldings of our own bloodlines that are large enough to compete. We have a limited amount of time to work and fit donkeys for the show ring, therefore, we are offering Showdown for sale. He is much too nice to just sit in our pasture because we are spending all of our time with other donkeys. Showdown has a negative coggins report dated 3/21/14. He is up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile, hoof trimmings and dewormings. Showdown is a sweet but high strung donkey so we think he would be best with an experienced handler if you plan to show him.

Oh, just didn't I need another gelding! I just can't have enough. Houston came from my good friend, Dana Rathbun, at Castlewood Farm in Lewisburg, Tennessee. What a sweetheart he is. Houston has never been anything more than a companion for Dana's show gelding, Ransom, and when Ransom buddied up with her new mammoth she offered Houston to me. You can see in his video it was his very first introduction to our trail obstacles and he tackled them all almost like an ole' pro.
